Special Prize Drawing will be held at the 2023 Fashion Show – The Knitting Zoo, you will receive an entry into the drawing for each animal you provide
- Completed animals can be turned in at any KG guild meeting
- You may use any animal pattern, not just the ones provided at our meetings
- All animals will NOT be returned and will be donated to a local charity (to be determined)
- Animals must be at least 5” or larger – no miniatures!
- These will be given to children at shelters, so think of this as you are creating your zoo!
Book Review, Amigurumi Knits by Hansi Singh
This book has patterns covering several different themes
- Vegetables
- Underwater Creatures
- Garden creatures
- Mythical creatures
My favorite is the octopus, but there’s a jellyfish, praying mantis, earthworm and even the Loch Ness monster and a desert favorite, the Jackalope. There’s a pattern for every skill level, and a helpful beginning section covering the techniques. Most of the patterns are also available on Ravelry, but the book is very affordable and available used.
