Logo Contest: The design by Keri McGraw was chosen by the members to be the new logo for the Guild. Community Knitting: Janet Dyer collects child size knitted hats for Sebastian’s Project, based on the book Sebastian’s wish. She distributed 7000 hats in 2018. The Designer of the Month, Martina Behm, was presented by Bea Soila. Martina is a German designer. Her Ravelry name is MartinaBehm and has a very active and helpful Ravelry group Strickmich! Block of the Month – May, 2019

The block of the month for May is Harris Tweed, designed by Ellie Hahn. The block of the month can be used to create blocks for charity blankets collected by the Guild. For the pattern click here.

Stitch and Pitch Event

Book of the Month – April, 2019

The Book of the Month, Diagonal knitting: A different Slant by Katharine Cobey, was presented by Carol Listenberger. The book has appeal for people who dislike stitch by stitch patterns since it emphasizes creativity rather than the size and shape of the item  being dependent on the cast on.
