Knitter: Carol Sacks
Pattern: ADVENTurous Wrap
Designer: Ambah O'Brien
Yarn: Sunshine Yarns - Harry Potter Advent Kit
Notes: Pattern was done over the month of December.
Each color was wrapped and numbered for the day by
Sunshine Yarns. I would unwrap the correct number
package and knit the clue for that day. Unfortunately
I could not keep up that pace and the shawl was
finished in January instead of December 25th.
Lots of fun and I love the results.
Knitter: Carol Listenberger
Pattern: Vest - own design
Designer: Carol Listenberger
Yarn: A single ball of yellow alpaca mohair blend
from the bargain bin. The bottom of a child's dress
from a thrift store.
Notes: I've been experimenting with felting over
knitting for a couple of years now, but this was
my first attempt to control shaping of a garment
created with that method. A series of sewn pintucks
at the shoulders and waist help the fabric fall
where I wanted.

Knitter: Carol Listenberger
Pattern: Shawl
Designer: Carol Listenberger
Yarn: Shibui Silk Cloud for the center and a
limited edition paper/synthetic blend by ITO
for the edging.
Notes: A single irregular triangle was created
for the body of the shawl. Then separate pieces
were knit in a tighter gauge for the octopus,
fish and plant life. Those pieces were appliqued
in place on the background triangle by hand. The
edging was also know separately and sewn on.
Last, a combination of wet felting and needle
felting was used to add color and detail to
both sides of the shawl.

version and a shorter version. There are also
alternate patterns for the more challenging
sections if you find them too difficult. Made
up of 12 different colors and 12 different

What a great picture of the fashion show/luncheon. Thanks for putting it together. I left the desert in March so I wasn’t able to attend. Looking at this post made me feel included. Thanks sooo much.
